Dr Carlos Abrahams, the director of Naturesound Ltd, is an ecologist and researcher, with over 25 years of experience in ecological consultancy and conservation management.

Carlos is recognised as a leading figure in ecoacoustic survey methods, with a substantial peer-reviewed publication record spanning bird, amphibian, and soil acoustics, soundscape analysis, and acoustic indices. He wrote the UK national guidance on bird acoustic surveys, and has contributed to good practice guidelines for long-term ecoacoustic monitoring in the UK. His research is widely cited in both academic and professional contexts.

Alongside research, Carlos has extensive practical experience in ecological survey, environmental impact assessment, habitat management, and conservation planning. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (FCIEEM), and has delivered training and professional development for CIEEM, BES, UKAN, the Institute of Acoustics, and Wildlife Acoustics.
